I don't get it. how are they allowed to block navigable waterways? don't other boats need to get through there? are they just slamming into this thing's little collector arm all day?

the drop test is a bit silly, because it comes down to the coating. a lot of these cards are coated in plastic, because the use of metal here is a gimmick. it offers no advantages whatsoever. it only makes the card _less_ durable. they end up coating it in plastic because they don't want people complaining about oxidation and accumulation of scum. at that point, you might as well just be making a card out of plastic. that said, metal is cool, and it's the feeling you're after, so who wouldn't exchange a bit of durability for a proper metal twang and a cold feeling on the fingertips? so maybe it is fair after all. the cards that are coated in plastic should simply be made out of plastic, and consumers who have a problem with the properties of metal should apply for a plastic credit card instead. now, anyway, who's going to make a _platinum_ credit card? limited edition amex business platinum?

I wish they offered the real gold without having to do the whole referral.

Best video for this machine on "tube. I just bought a new unused unit on Marketplace for half cost of retail. Glad I did because I agree it's a novelty and doesn't do the job that a good Vitamix or even Oster beehive blender would likely make a frozen drink. We are spoiled by the commercial frozen drink machines so this won't live up to that standard.

What if it still doesn't work? I have the same MacBook Air as you and cant get the keyboard to work--the trackpad is fine. Issue started when my spacebar became stuck. Took it to Apple and they want $500 to replace keyboard. I'm a lawyer and have all my docs on this computer backed-up on LaCie. Should I bite the bullet and buy a new MacBook or pay to have this 2018 model repaired? Working with an exterior keyboard is a nightmare. Any suggestions on a model that gives me the same set-up as my Mac?

Thanks for the review. I was considering buying this but now I won't. First, that doesn't look like a frozen drink at all. Shaving and then blending almost liquefies the drink it seems. Also, why does the recipe call for triple sec/lime AND margarita mix? A traditional margarita is tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice (and maybe a sweetener like agave nectar). That recipe looks bad. I already have a Vitamix and this seems like a worse version of that. One other tip: use 1/4 tsp of xantham gum for each drink. It's an emulsifier and thickener and will keep the liquid and ice in the drink from separating.

I was lately looking at the monty hall problem and it made me wonder if the concept could be applied to trading in better way. Let's say I want to invest in BTC but I also think there is a real possibility we will see some substantial down. What if I open a 5x long margin BTC-USD and a 5x short margin on BTC-EUR. If it goes up they should cancel out and i let it ride until i feel the risk might be "over". If it goes down I start reducing the short position in several trades over time. Is there a name for this? Is it maybe stupid? Of course in real my long position is larger than my short because i'm betting on a general uptrend.
